Nice place, but...as like most things on Key Biscayne....it's on the expensive side. High quality and tasty French baguette sandwiches. This place makes for a nice picnic take out place, but it's also just as pleasant to dine in or sit on their patio. They also have a limited selection on baked goods which are also good. If price isn't an option, this is a nice lunch spot on the Key.

The food is good but overpriced. The staff is unfriendly. It feels like you are unwelcome. To bad since if has great potential.

Great place with amazing food and very friendly staff... The eggs benedict are one of the best I've had. The croissants are always fresh and perfectly done. The lasagna is also a must try. I will definitely be coming back!

Great food, ok service, I asked with my pancakes a egg, the server said that he could not give me 1 egg, but the dish that is 2 eggs and bread for $8, beside the what I order. I think that they could charge me just for the egg. Anyways the food was great! And I will go there again.

Order the croque madam....French baguette with gruyere cheese, Black Forest ham, two eggs on top, roasted tomato, and a béchamel. Perfect French croissants, with ham an cheese, or almonds

Lovely little place in Key Biscayne. Used to come here with my mom a long time ago. Good memories.

Ordered a curry egg salad. I asked the server if there was a cost for an extra egg - he said "How many, 1 egg? No problem". I thought perhaps he's being nice and including a free egg. Sure enough, he charged me for it without telling me and put it as an extra charge on the check as "pesto sauce". Anyway, that's minor compared to the rest. When I received the "salad", I was shocked to see it was actually a sandwich. The menu gave no indication it was a sandwich (it read "Curry Egg Salad" with no mention of bread and not under a Sandwich heading) and my server did not mention that it was a sandwich either. I complained about the sandwich/salad issue to the server and showed him the menu and he agreed that the menu is very misleading and that it does look like it's a Curry Egg Salad on the menu and not a sandwich. He didn't give any sort of free item or discount as most places usually do when there's an issue that they have caused. A very bad experience - will not return and would not recommend this place to anyone.

This family owned and operated restaurant will not disappoint. Prices are reasonable given its Key Biscayne location. Try the vegetable mix with eggs.

One of the best Chicken salad sandwiches I have ever eaten. But also one of the most expensive. If you are on KB, then it is worth a try.

Dearest La Boulangerie, What a great new discovery I made for myself! :) Wanting to break from the usual routine, I chose to drive past my Juice Zone and explore what else the complex had to offer. That's how I found you, La Boulangerie, and boy am I glad!! You are amazing! A small French Bakery with all of the yummy goodness one can imagine of fresh-baked French goodies. I have since eaten here twice, and have had the pleasure of trying a couple of your signature items. The Croque Monsieur is TO DIE FOR! Black Forrest ham, melted Brie cheese, and tomatoes, OH MY! I actually took the tomatoes out, because I am not a big fan, but STILL oh-so-good! The Curry Egg Salad sandwich was ridiculously good. I took a leap of faith ordering this sandwich as I am not the biggest curry fan. But I was in the mood for egg salad and took a risk on the curry. I am glad that I did because this was delicious. The curry was just the perfect spice to liven up an otherwise regular egg salad. During lunch yesterday, my friend ordered the Pappardelle ai Funghi which was a great pasta dish. I really enjoyed the white sauce with the mushrooms, and that the pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. Not soft and not too hard either. And the bread that you use for your sandwiches is just perfection and deserved to be recognized separately! The bread is fresh and oh-so-soft, melting in the mouth instantly. :) I LOVE your bread. This is my new go-to lunch spot. It's fresh and healthy. Your only 2 downfalls? Service is SUPER SLOW. Like molasses. Takes forever for the food to come out, but I also realize that you're always packed and that there's just a couple of cooks. And the other is that you don't deliver. Looking forward to more fabulous lunches from here! Now get your service together... :) All the best, SabrinaAnna*

Charged me $3 for an iced coffee. It was just old hot coffee that was no longer hot. Also, the menu said it should have only been $2.80...

Very cute little bakery with adequate, for South Florida, pastries. You really need to go north to get decent pastries. I think one of the few downsides of the Latin explosion in Miami has been baked goods.

Food is good - though egg dishes often come cold. Yes, yes I know their croissants are amazing but how about the attitude and service? Not amazing at all. Rude and arrogant. And the little almost bald guy behind the counter ringing up the checks thinks he is working at a 3 star Michelin restaurant. No way. Yes, I know KB does not have many breakfast choices but how about the old adage, "the customer is always right." That means good customer service keeps customers. Good thing they don't charge for attitude.

La Boulangerie is ridiculously expensive. I paid almost $30 for two sandwiches and a drink, insane. The only problem was my Mom and I were really craving a Prosciutto sandwich with fresh mozarella. The size is great, pretty big and they serve chips with the sandwich. The service was a bit slow, and it's better if you just buy your own ingredients. I would recommend La Boulangerie since theres not too many sandwich shops in KB. If you are craving dessert, there used to be an amazing gelato shop around the corner, but now its a fro-yo place, yum!

Meh. I think it was overpriced. The quantity of the food we ordered was small. Free coffee and OJ, I guess made up for it but I probably won't be coming here again.

This is my go-to spot on Key Biscayne if I want a quality, quick bite. They've got delicious pastries and espresso, and AMAZING sandwiches. The curried egg salad with scallions is out of this world, as is the chicken salad. I just love salads! I will admit that the fifth star is not for the food, or the espresso, or the lovely service. It's for the clientele. Since Key Biscayne is basically the hot spot for sexy latinos, I get my fill of Argentinian heart throbs grazing my arm, or taking care of their...::gulp:: children. It's okay. I can still look.

We came by this establishment looking for a quick eat and the name seemed interesting so we decided to try it out. We walk in and it's actually a sit down place. The server was very attentive and recommended among other items, the lasagna, which was delish. My daughter went towards her French palate and ordered the croque monsieur ( baguette , Brie, black forest ham and tomato served with chips) the bread was amazingly fresh and crunchy. It's not a fancy place and small but the food we had was very good. It can get a bit pricey also. I would go back if in the area and try other items on their menu

La Boulangerie is the best place to get a croissant!!! They are so good they actually run out on Sundays if you don't get their before 11am. My favorite are the ham and cheese, almond, and guava with cheese. The sandwiches for lunch are also really tasty. I've had the egg salad, croque madame, prosciutto and mozzarella. All delish!

Good food, well overpriced, paying for some chef's touches like sauce swiggled on the plate.

Ignoring guests just suggests that one should go elsewhere. The first time was slow, today was slower than a caterpillar. You give new meaning to slow. Food was good and overpriced especially when you consider the very poor service. Larry P.

Went here for breakfast this morning with my daughter and grand daughter. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Key West omelet which was absolutely delicious. The entry came with a French baguette toast, freshly squeezed orange juice and a cup of coffee. They even have a healthy choice of a wheat baguette instead of white. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Will definitely come again when visiting the area again.

I can't even rate based on food, service at the counter was absolutely atrocious. They were busy but it's no excuse for not even greeting your clientele. The location looked nice and the food looked like it would taste good if any member of the staff had even said hello. We stood in line for 10 minutes being moved out of the way by servers and not one person asked us if we wanted something or if they could help. Instead they took 3 people who got in line after we did and ignored us. I guess I'll try to give them my money some other time but based on this experience it won't be for a while.

Delicious Pastries and Great Coffee. A Must visit in Key Biscayne. The decor of the place invites you in with antique objets and burlap coffee bags. Everybody knows each other and the staff makes you feel right at home among family.

Despite the very French name, La Boulangerie is more of a Latin American bakery/cafe that happens to serve some French-style dishes. Their brunch menu is simple, consisting of omelettes, sandwiches, and egg benedicts. A nice perk is how fresh squeezed OJ and coffee are included in the meal. During my visit I tried the Croque Madame and the Eggs Benedictine. I found the croque madam to be the better of the two. The benedict was a little flat in flavor, especially the hollandaise sauce. I also picked up Almond and a Guava/Cream Cheese Croissant. The croissants aren't the traditional flaky multi-layered pastries but they're still enjoyable. My favorite was the almond one as it had a generous smear of almond paste in the middle, lending a subtle sweetness to it. Lastly, I bought a Spicy Chicken and Beef Empanada to eat later as a snack. Bad idea. They were the worst ones I've had in Miami so far. The beef one was the least offensive since the stuffing was just bland chunks of beef. The major offender was the spicy chicken. The unpalatable combo of dry chicken, harsh salty olives, and an unnecessarily generous amount of dried red pepper flakes, made it inedible. The dough was covered with pepper flakes along with even more in the stuffing mix. The beef empanda came in handy to rid my palate of the taste.

The food is good and the service is very nice from some of the staff yet "iffy" from others. Be prepared to have the tip included on your ticket. We were only a party of two but the tip was included anyway. I don't recall seeing any notice on the menu about this, or on the bill. We specifically told them not to put the tip on the credit card since we wanted to pay the tip in cash. The bill comes back and the tip is included on the credit card. Then the manager and a young lady waitress that seemed to have taken over for our original waiter (who was great) got a bit upset at us when we asked them to take if off. He said he didn't know how. I'm sure the young waiter would have had a better disposition that the waitress and would have not put the tip on the credit card to begin with as we had requested. Anyway, I was pretty amazed that they were reprimanding us, the customers, instead of apologizing for not billing us correctly. The young man that took care of us was extremely nice but sadly the young lady that took over was not as nice. The manager, well, he shouldn't get upset at customers that want to pay the tip in cash specially after they asked the waitress not to put it on the bill from the beginning yet she puts it on there any way. Maybe he should have reprimanded the waitress for not paying attention? The food in this very casual bakery is good but don't expect large portions. It reminds me of any Cuban bakery on 8 street but with portions cut back and prices pushed up. I'd call the portions "french restaurant portions" which is fine for me but others might feel a bit jipped because they are really smaller than you would receive at any other cafeteria style bakery such as this. Perhaps at one of those fancy pricey restaurants with white clove service, no,,,but here? I had bagels with nova and they were really small. The bagels were not as hearty they should be (they too light and airy for bagels). They didn't give any lettuce which I would have liked. I gave half my lunch to my friend who had the pouched eggs with salmon since she was still hungry after finishing her meal. You do get as many coffee refills as you would like and the coffee is good and fresh. They also serve you very quickly. Its a very casual atmosphere so you can go in shorts. I honestly would have overlooked the prices had the service been less than rude from the manager and the young lady waitress. My suggestion: skip lunch and maybe just have coffee and pastries. I haven't had them but they look good and just the right size for pastries - small. This way you can enjoy the treat without gaining too much weight. Unless you are a light eater like me, don't expect to feel like you had a typical meal there, but definitely a large snack or light meal. Do know that regardless of the size of the meal being small, the price will not. As other yelpers have already posted, beware of the unfriendly and less than welcoming service from those that may be senior staff (manager and lady waitress). However, expect much friendlier service from the young man that was at first our waiter and then busboy. Also, lol, take cash and know the bill includes the tip.

Croissants were excellent - especially the almond. Definitely worth stopping by for these. Delicious! Service was also very good and atmosphere fun and relaxed. Interior decor is cool and outdoor tables comfortable. I dinged a star because the Black Forest scramble did not have cheddar as listed on the menu. They used american cheese instead, which I hate. Fortunately others at my table don't mind it. Just wish it had been cheddar in the first place. Still worth stopping by, and would come back again.

Charming French cafe. My friend and I were looking for a breakfast place to eat in Key Biscayne, and Yelp certainly guided us to this wonderful place. Staff was very friendly and fast for service. I ordered an apple tart pastry and cortadito to start. The apple tart was toasted to perfection, and had a wonderful balance of sweet and savory between the glaze and the cream inside. I ordered the Key West Omelette, which is a fluffy omelette with salmon, capers, and sautéed onions. It also came with a baguette on the side. It had beautiful presentation and the taste was amazing! I would definitely order again. Each menu item comes with coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice, which I highly recommend. You can taste the freshness of the juice, and it captures the unique flavor of Florida oranges. The restaurant automatically adds gratuity to your bill, even for small parties (there was only 2 of us). I suppose it is for tourists who may come through, but I am not a fan of this practice.

We took Sunday breakfast here. When we arrived, seating was almost full. But one staff was so quick to make our seat. From the breakfast menu,We ordered as follows: NY style bagel $11.95 Fruits bowl $9.95 Pancakes $11.95 All come with hot coffe and fresh squeezed orange juice. Bagel were filled with cream cheese and smoked salmon. 3 pieces of pancake was fluffy and not too sweet. Staffs are all nice and kind. Will come back when we have chance to travel to Miami.

Excellent! It was the best breakfast ever. Good for brunch, or afternoon pastries with awesome coffee. I've got the nicest cappuccino with almond milk I've ever tried.

Always a treat- La Boulangerie has great coffee and nice a section of baked goods and sandwiches. They are also home to THE most delicious almond croissants.

French bakery located on Key Biscayne mainly known for their breakfast options. I am not sure how French it is considering everyone in the place speaks Spanish. My mom loves their croissants so I stopped in and bought two with a fresh cup of orange juice and I paid $12.00. In Key Biscayne, you will pay a premium for anything you buy because of the location. Since most of the people that live here are wealthy, the businesses take advantage of that in their pricing. One of the croissants I bought was plain and the other was Guava and Cheese and they tasted ok, I was expecting a lot more due to the pricing.

Excellent french bakery, superior brunch. The chocolate desserts are a must ! ask for the one that's not on the menu.

I love this place for three things... 1) It's the only place for a decent Eggs Benedict on the island, although don't expect a great (real) hollandaise sauce. But the eggs are always cooked properly, and the baked tomato and single thick asparagus spear is a perfect accompaniment. 2) they have the best filled croissants (almond, chocolate, guava & cheese, ham and cheese) on the island. 3) it's the closest thing to the European concept of a 'bar'/cafe ( ie, quick cafe with good coffee, pastries and food) that I've seen around here. While French inspired, they are not 'french' per se, but good nonetheless. I'd recommend this as a breakfast place or for an afternoon snack/coffee.

I stopped in and grabbed the PROSCIUTTO DI PARMA sandwich. It was delicious. I was full after half of the sandwich but could stop eating because it tasted so good!

Superior breakfast! We ordered Eggs Benedictine with a wonderful lemony homemade hollandaise and 1/2 grilled tomato w/ thyme oil/vinegar dressing and a thick spear of asparagus. To our surprise were served a glass of local fresh squeezed. OJ. The cafe au lait with thick foam completed the fare. Although quite full, we could not resist adding an in-house made croissant which was marvelously buttery and worth every bite. We also had a cup of American coffee to settle the excellent eats. The bill was $39 which is surprising on the diamond coast of Key Biscayne.

The menu isn't huge but everything is fresh and made to order. AWESOME selection of different types of Eggs Benedict. This may be the best breakfast place on Key Biscayne.

I just love the elephant ears (palmiers) here. Everytime I'm in Miami I have to come here to pick some up, sometimes multiple visits in one trip. It seems they make more of them than they used to because my family has been known to get up at the crack of dawn in order to buy enough elephant ears for the whole family. I've eaten here with my family for lunch a few times before and have always enjoyed myself.

Stopped by here to grab some coffee in the middle of a long day of Geocaching on Key Biscayne. The restaurant is small and not fancy, but they make a mean cappuccino. We also had a ham-and-cheese and a corn empanada. I didn't expect much after seeing the other reviews, but they were actually very good. The ham was some form of fancy (French?) ham, not the standard ham that I expected. We just had coffee and a baked good snack, so I can't say anything at this point about the meal items. I will most likely return, though, the next time I'm in the area and needing a caffeine fix.

My favorite spot for breakfast on Key Biscayne; however, I don't come here that often since it's extremely expensive compared to what you could get off the island. I'm drawn to La Boulangerie for their croissants (Ham & Cheese, Guava, Chocolate or Plain). I just love 'em. While unfortunate, I fear it's only a matter of time before other businesses on the key start raising their prices...

The first time I went to La Boulangerie I walked out because I was ignored by staff. However, I had heard good things about their sandwiches so I decided to give it a second go, because I love sandwiches. This time around I was greeted warmly and my order was promptly taken. I ordered the turkey and avacado sandwich. The sandwich came with chips. The food was ok. I think it is overpriced for what you get in regards to quantity and quality.

Had a great morning at mostly empty Crandon Park beach, but then the clouds opened up, so it was time to get some chow. Headed into 'town' and found La Boulangerie. Only one table outside, so sat in. Service was fast and attentive. We ordered the turkey and avacado for the kids to split, our waiter said it was huge, so recommended we get a half-order and split that. Very cool. I ordered the prosciutto, goat cheese and pesto sandwich, and my husband got the croque monsieur. Our orders appeared on woven reed plates, presentation was nice. The turkey had been split and served separately to the little ones, always appreciate that little touch. The Croque was good, fresh bread and warm brie, simple but yummy. The procsiutto sandwich was really flavorful and aromatic, just the right size too. Had a couple of their macaroons for desert, and a cappuccino, the coffee was amazing! . Yum. Would definitely recommend this place, price was reasonable, and the food was well above average. Only problem was that they 15%ed us, (not used to that, because we are a family of 4), they didn't tell us that they added the tip in, and we left 20% on top of that. Check your bill!

Very rude staff, overpriced, average food. Went for lunch with my daughter. My daughter ordered the grilled ham and cheese with mayo only. They brought her a sandwich drenched in mustard. When we told the waitress she didn't want mustard she said we had to pay for another sandwich. I explained we ordered it correctly and she said she had to ask the owner. After 10 minutes she came back and said we have to pay for another sandwich!! Total bill was $28 for 2 sandwiches (1 which we didn't eat) and 2 cokes.
